I have a 73 Super Beetle and have some questions about it. I'm not a Bug afficianado, obviously, and am wondering about some details of the car.

It has a single pane of glass for the front window. After looking around a bit, I'm under the impression this is rare? Is it? Was it a factory option, a swap with an earlier/later year? Does it make the car more valuable for restoration/reselling?

It also has the turn signal lights in the front bumper, not on the finders. Is this a factory option, an aftermarket mod already made, .... ??

Thanks for the help.

The one-piece windows are a common custom item, they are not original for a '71 SB and were never a production item. The bumper signals are added on also, however they could be from a later european or Mexican model. Signals in the bumpers began around 1980, after sales in the US ceased.

Thanks much... it can be daunting to find answers to "SIMPLE" questions amongst the vast details.
