Hello,

I just bought a 1995 G20t last night. I was looking around your forum and found lots of useful information. I had a couple questions I couldn't find the answer to:

What's the difference is between the G20 and the G20t?

What changes were made to the P10 during it's production? I think the automatic seatbelts were removed after 1992 but were there any small styling or interior changes between 1991 and 1996?
Thanks for any help!

Hey, these cars are pretty damn nice. I've been wanting one for a while.http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/icons/icon10.gif :)

The "t" or Touring model comes with the following extras over the base G20:

5-speed manual transmission (i don't think you can get a G20t with an auto tranny)
Automatic Temperature Control
Viscous Limited-Slip Differential
Rear decklid spoiler
Integrated fog lights
60-series low profile tires (the G20 comes with 65 series, IIRC)
Sports cloth interior (unless you got the leather package)
Sports seat head restraints (they've got a hole instead of being solid)
Leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob.
And then some little things like a "t" for the rear deck, "touring" embossed carpet mats, no in-window 3rd brake light, etc.

And i think the 99 G20t has an extra 30 or 40 HP over the other models, but only if you get it in black. :D

I take that back. You CAN get the G20t with an automatic. Not sure why you would though....

Also, is there a place in So. California where I can get a stock exhaust? The previous owner put an aftermarket exhaust on it and a K&N intake but I want to remove them since this car is going to be my daily driver. If anyone local wants these parts, let me know and I'll trade them for the stock parts.

Thanks for any help!

Interesting that you should bring this up. For the most part the changes in the P10 have been cosmetic. The only "major" change is that the '94- SR20DE have a lower profile intake cam for emission reasons. The rest is documented here:http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t17059.html (http://)

What type of muffler do you have? Does it have a low tone rumble to it? Does it sound blatty at wide open throttle or highway speeds at 60-90mph? I was looking to get an aftermarket muffler myself and I'm interested.

Hey there! WELCOME to the P10 family! :D

It looks to me like you've gotten most of your questions answered above, but when (and there will most likely be a "when") you have more questions, we'll all be glad to help you out! :flash:

How power does that dent on the side of your car add? :hehe:

Haha, yeah...I don't waste any time. You can still see the dealer's sticker in the window. :D

It was a bad day for autocross because it was raining pretty hard when it was my group's turn. To be honest, my times were terrible. :( Of course that's because it was the first time I ever drove the G20 on some tight curves AND the first time in the rain AND my first autox in a front wheel drive car. Hah, no excuses though...but I have to get used to the fact that I can't push the accelerator to make the rear end break out when I need it to. Still, I'm quite happy with the performance of the car and I'm starting to understand how to apply what I've learned on my RX7 to my G20. I see it as a good learning experience so that I can learn to control an FF car. Hopefully it won't rain during the next autocross.
