no votage on fuel pump relay truck dont startruddogg 03-29-2004, 11:09 AM I have no voltage on the fuel pump relay any idea what might be causing this? just tinker 03-30-2004, 11:43 PM Did You Check The Fuse? Did You Wack The Bumpers Real Hard? Sometimes In An Accident, The Pump Is Shut Off For Safety. Your Owners Book Should Point Out A Reset Button. Fuel Pump Relay Up On The Firewall Could Be Bad. Or Power Going To It. Get Out A Book And A Good Voltmeter. Good Luck! chrisout 04-16-2004, 03:26 AM I dont know if this is the same problem or not but I had a problem that I thought was the fuel pump. I could start the truck unless if I poured some gas down in the throttle body but it would alwas die after running for few seconds. I replaced the fuel pump which is in the gas tank! A real pain in the butt. Still had the same problem. I finally took it to the Chevy dealer and they for 180.00 replaced the ingnition module and said that it the sparc part of it was fine but it had a circut in it that told the throttle body injectors to tell the fuel pump to charge them with gas. I know it sound weird but It has worked great ever since. Hope this helps, Chris. 383chevyZ71 04-29-2004, 12:10 PM Have someone take something and hit your gas tank a few times while you try to start it. You may think it sounds crazy but it is a trick that I've used and seen work if you fuel pump won't kick on. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
