I hope someone can help. I have a 1989 acura Legend L. When I turn my radio on it works for about 10 seconds, then changes channels and then nothing :banghead: . Has anyone else had this problem? Do I have to go to the dealer to resolve it? I would appreciate any suggestions.

I found the answer! Should anyone else have this problem, it is due to a dead radio cooling fan shorting out the tuner. All you have to do is the following:
1. Remove the radio from the dash.
2. Take out the 4 small screws securing the top of the radio and remove the top cover.
3. In the rear near the center you will see a small fan with 2 wires leading to the plug.
4. Disconnect that plug and reassemble your radio.
Chances are the fan has been dead for years so you needn't worry about your radio burning out.
