Need some advicejuicy19 03-27-2004, 08:20 PM Hey guys, I just put in some LED wedge bulbs for my turn signals up front. Now I've got a case of happy blinker. Every time I use my signals it blinks really quick like I've got a bulb out. When I use my hazards they flash at normal speed. What is causing this? Any help guys? :banghead: gnushit 03-28-2004, 01:03 AM it's just the led bulbs. that's why i got rid of my led blinker bulbs, the blinking got really annoying really fast juicy19 03-28-2004, 01:46 PM Does anybody know of a way around it? Like adding a wire to it or something? I like the look of not seeing any orange through the housing. Are there other bulbs out there that are better? gnushit 03-28-2004, 09:00 PM hyper white bulbs? :dunno: juicy19 03-29-2004, 10:30 AM But I want to keep the orange/amber color of the lights. What else is out there? avpart3 03-29-2004, 11:12 AM Sylvania Silverstar makes turn signal bulbs. They have a blue tint color when off. But when it lights up its the amber color. So it keeps you street legal  juicy19 03-29-2004, 11:15 AM So there's no way around the LED bulbs blinking extra fast? Thanks for all the help guys! emailrusty 04-12-2004, 01:38 PM Just found out today that there is a way around this!!! Happy blinker happens only when you install LED bulbs on your blinkers. The fix is to get a load equalizer. They apparently heat up quite a bit so be carefull where you mount the component. Go to Automotive Forums .com > Honda/Acura > '92+ Civic > LED Lights for more info on fixes and next generation LED's that don't have this problem. Tranzlogic 04-12-2004, 02:50 PM man but you still have LED blinkers, they are so gay. look at all this trouble you had to do just for that...take some silver engine enamel for hi temp and lightly dust your stock amber bulbs..they will blend in the lamp without even being seen but will light up nice and amber !!! cheap and works great..or just get some silverstar bulbs...use your LED's to throw at people with apc stickers on thier car avpart3 04-12-2004, 04:35 PM I second that motion! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
