lil promblem with revingSpecVSpic 03-24-2004, 11:19 PM hey guys whats yup.....just wanted to know if anyone would know why this occurs maybe a engine promblem?Well I was drving home 2day and i was at the stop light with my foot on the cluth and and brake and second gear not pushing gas or anything. My car was starting to rev by itself....lil by lil...and I wasn't doing anything and continued until my way home.I looked under the hood and I think i heard a crackling of some sort.So I turned my car off and started it again and it didnt do it.Could it a be a engine promblem? jonnyd91 03-27-2004, 07:12 PM the crackling is all the metal parts serrling and expanding from heat its normal in a new car. the spec uses a drive by wire system where there is no cable to open and close the throttle body its all done electronicaly, so if there is a brain fart in the computer or ther wires are shorting out take it in and get it looked at. Jared592 04-01-2004, 07:26 PM If you have big feet and are new to driving a Sentra you might be doing what I was doing when I first got mine. Namely, I'd have the clutch and brake in at a stoplight and wouldn't realize my right foot was also hitting the gas a little bit, making it rev a bit. It took me awhile to get it down...crazy little jap pedals, fuck heel-toeing, i can just use my foot at an angle to hit the gas and the brake ^____^ KEKEKEKE 1quickSER 04-05-2004, 04:57 PM I don't know if the 2003's had this problem or not, but I know the 02's had a floor matt dysfunction in which a recall was ordered. The floor matt would sometimes move on to the gas pedal and rev it. It happened to me once. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
