'65 MGB project for salejetta/caravan 03-24-2004, 11:36 AM Is anyone interested in taking over my MGB project car? Jet-Lee 04-09-2004, 12:45 PM what condition is it in and how much? jetta/caravan 04-09-2004, 12:50 PM Early restoration phase. Not currently running, interior mostly torn out, top end of engine apart. Some rust, mostly straight frame and body. Needs everything. I'd be happy with $500, but mostly want it out of my garage. ukcar 04-10-2004, 02:11 PM Is there any way you could tell the location of the car and if you could lower the price. I would also be interested if you had any pictures of the car or tell the color of it and if it ran good when it did run? jetta/caravan 04-12-2004, 05:19 PM The car currently resides in my garage in the Los Angeles area as it has for the past 12 years. Before that it lived in the Oxnard area I believe. I do have some pictures of the car but I haven't figured out if I can post them here or not. The original color was old english white, but it is currently an ugly shade of turquiose blue. I only drove it for a few months before I started tearing it apart. The plugs were oil-fouling and a local MG mechanic checked it out and told me it needed valves and guides. At this point price is not a real concern on mine, I want to be rid of it, and would like to get something... matt448 04-12-2004, 07:52 PM How rusty? surface or rot and where. could I see the car. Thanks, Matt jetta/caravan 04-13-2004, 12:02 PM some rust through toward the back of the right front fender and right dogleg. I have the rust repair panels but haven't welded them in yet. The floor pans are rusted through in spots, but Moss has replacements. I did a 9-point frame inspection for a guy in San Jose who was interested, and things look pretty straight. I've posted a photo in the gallery section under vehicle photographs, titled MG1. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
