Cruise Control Disengagingstl1psu 03-24-2004, 09:46 AM This is more of a nusance than a real problem but the Cruise control on my 99 disengages sometimes for no apparent reason and sometimes when going over bumps on the road. Has anyone else had such a problem or does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this and maybe how to fix the situation? Thanks CharlieJ 08-04-2004, 09:21 PM I had this same issue with my 94 Blazer and a 94 Dodge Caravan. The problem turned out to be a bad vacuum part (hose one one; valve on the other). Check ALL of your cruise control parts from the firewall to the throttle. You will likely find the problem in that space. Best wishes! Thunderbolt 08-05-2004, 08:37 AM Check your brake switch. When the cruise disengauges watch your tach also. If the RPM's go up about 200 when the cruise disengauges then the torque converter is unlocking also meaning the brake switch is bad because the lockup and criuse control both operate from the brake switch. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
