overall which will have better performance, like better 0-60 better quarter mile, and acceleration? i know this is unfair, since the 99 has a ls1 and 0-60 in around 5-5.5, and has 19 year advantage... i am just curious, because i like em both, and curious what is better overall...

the best car may or may not be the faster car.
best does not equal the fastest.
if that is the only qualifying matter then the best car is thrust 2 or something similar.
take the F1.
fastest recorded production car but handles like a wet rag at that speed.
zonda.
can only manage 200 ish but still handles perfectly.
which is better?

The lambo is not a very good quarter mile car. It is a 13 or so.
It never was intended for that. Most built-up street rods could hang with or beat it in a 1/8 or 1/4 drag. A new viper or corvette would run with it pretty close.
Now, let's talk about reality. On the freeway in traffic. Talking from experience (yes, I own one. Just drove it about 2 hours ago. Did 150 on I25). Forgettaboutit.
No american production car can touch it. The ferrari and porche would make great rear mirror view decorations.

I do agree they are great cars...But my 99 z28 was doing 140 in Hawaii racing against a viper and keeping with it till it sprayed, and that was on the H1. then again mine isnt stock either

So I take it you've driven both and taken them both to their top ends? Oh wait....
