GSR high priceschris26969 03-23-2004, 07:15 PM I currently own a 98 eclipse GSX and i was thinking of maybe going towards a GSR for a car that will be more reliable for long 1500+ mile drives. Well, Ive been looking around at about 97+ GSRs, and damn are some of these overpriced, Im seeing some 99s 3-4k Above KBB value. Im aware that the GSR is in a sence somewhat rare, but whats the deal with the GSR community thinking they can get outrageous amounts of money for their cars. Ex: 2000 Integra GSR 50k miles $16,000 2000 Integra GSR 75k miles $15,000 Outrageous or what integrasedan 03-23-2004, 07:34 PM they are not "overpriced", it is called high resale value. integras have one of the best reliability, just look in Consumer Reports autoguide. it is also an upscale luxury sports car name brand, "Acura" integras aren't made anymore and they are also in demand, so the price says it all. miles shouldn't be much a concern since they last so long. if it's price is too high, then don't buy it, search around like any car you would buy. chris26969 03-23-2004, 07:41 PM they are not "overpriced", it is called high resale value. integras have one of the best reliability, just look in Consumer Reports autoguide. it is also an upscale luxury sports car name brand, "Acura" they are also in demand, so the price says it all. 2000 Integra GSR 50k miles $16,000 2000 Integra GSR 75k miles $15,000 Those are for sale The KBB values 2000 Integra GSR 50k miles $12,235 2000 Integra GSR 75k miles $10,535 Im fully aware of what acuras are worth, and relaibility i am also a honda civic owner. My grip is, the hiked prices on the GSR. They are outrageous over KBB value. There not even that rare that they deserve the hiked price. I mean every so often ive found a few for respectable prices. But now when im actually looking for one its impossible. integrasedan 03-23-2004, 07:47 PM go to www.recycler.com click on cars, enter your zip code & car you are searching for. it will show you a list of integras near where you live. the prices are good there, that's how i got my integra. tran_nsx 03-23-2004, 07:59 PM 2000 Integra GSR 50k miles $16,000 2000 Integra GSR 75k miles $15,000 Those are for sale The KBB values 2000 Integra GSR 50k miles $12,235 2000 Integra GSR 75k miles $10,535 Im fully aware of what acuras are worth, and relaibility i am also a honda civic owner. But now when im actually looking for one its impossible. i check kbb and this is what i got: 2000 gs-r dealer price mint condition w/ 50k miles for 94565- $15050 2000 gs-r private party mint condition w/ 50k miles for 94565- $13050 chris26969 03-23-2004, 08:06 PM i check kbb and this is what i got: 2000 gs-r dealer price mint condition w/ 50k miles for 94565- $15050 2000 gs-r private party mint condition w/ 50k miles for 94565- $13050 These are private party sales. 2000 Integra GSR 50k miles $12,235 2000 Integra GSR 75k miles $10,535 for the Boston MA area zipcode. Also keep in mind, even if they are selling at dealer prices, there 1k , 2k over. And then if you factor private party, were talking 3-4k! integrasedan 03-23-2004, 08:07 PM KBB offers two types of values, private sale and dealer sale. the dealer sale is usually higher. also is the car stock? if customized, the car is worth higher. chris26969 03-23-2004, 08:10 PM KBB offers two types of values, private sale and dealer sale. the dealer sale is usually higher. also is the car stock? if customized, the car is worth higher. yes i know. As for customized, everything is relative. In actuality aftermarket parts Decrease the value of a car to the general consumers, and increases to other tuners. Its all relative. Yet, all the GSRs im looking at are stock and way overpriced, kind of disapointing. Theres no way I can justify spending 15k on a GSR, while the LS version will sell for 8-9k around here with same miles. The Vtec engine i dont think is work 6-7k to anyone. Ive looked in florida and they dont seem to have these hiked prices in the tampa area (where im moving to) id really like to pick one up here before i go down there tho. integrasedan 03-23-2004, 08:17 PM just be patient, keep looking around. also try negotiating the price, they might be desperate. tran_nsx 03-23-2004, 11:14 PM sounds to me like the owners are trying to get every last penny and a little bit more from the buyer. if i were u, i would wait a while, something nice and reasonably priced would show up. NEEDaNEWcar 03-24-2004, 04:09 AM KBB sucks anyways, over price everything. Use N.A.D.A. tsugsr 03-24-2004, 01:33 PM actually its the other way around KBB uysually under prices stuff. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
