ok, my friend just got a 2k4 spec v. he told me he ran a 14.1 stock. when i told someone that on another forum everyone was saying i was full of crap. then i met another guy at work and he told me he ran the exact same time. so i was trying to see if anyone had any slips of times they ran with a stock spec v. is a 14.1 in a sotck spec v possible? thanx for your help

i run 9.97 in the 1/8th so roughly it would be close to 14.955....and that is stock...so there is no way he is pulling those numbers!!!

That formula doesn't really apply to our cars, ours have too much pull off the line and kind of crap out up top, so the 1/8 is fast but the 1/4 kind of sucks. With a 9.97 1/8th you're closer to a 15.4 1/4

My last time at the track I ran a 10.05 1/8 and 15.6 1/4

the 2k4 should round about 15.5 stock in the 1/4....and you say you are running 14.1...LOL...what do you have done to your car??

Do you realize how much a second is?

If you beat a car by a second in the 1/4, you would be about 150 feet ahead of him by the time you hit 90mph. There's no way you beat an SHO that bad, maybe a carlength or 2 at most.

yeah and i can also video tape me racing a modified chevy nova on the 1/4 mile and have him lose just so i can have it on tape :)
