If it is true, this Gumball will be fantastic with 165 cars at start in Paris on May 5th.

An LM participated in the European Gumball Rally in 1999, but that is the only time I believe one has participated. Several other times there have been rumors of an F1 participating but none has ever materialized.

Pharrell Williams is also one of the producers known as The Neptunes, along with Chad Hugo they make approx. 9/10 top billboard hip hop song beats.

What's your source for this information?

No offense to TCC, but it's probably the same source that said there would be an F1 running last year's trip across the USA, even though the one-way distance of the trip would exceed the yearly mileage allotment given by the DOT's Show&Display guidelines. :screwy:

I think every year they have tried to hype the event by mentioning that an F1 (or multiple F1s) would be participating. Most here are aware of the LMs participation in the '99 Gumball across Europe. There is also recent evidence that shows an F1 road car participated in at least a portion of the Gumball the following year. Since then, I can recall they have always listed an F1 as an expected participant, but none have ever materialized. We'll have to wait and see if this year's event offers a repeat of the past few. I'm not holding out a lot of hope though.

If one does happen to run I just hope someone documents it and maybe gets a shot of the chassis plaque to aid us in our quest.

you're correct on your translation philippe, and i have a question about the S&D..
is a car allowed to do a total of 2500 miles per year or is it just 2500 miles per year on american roads, and that it doesn't count the miles on european roads..

The S&D mileage limit applies to driving on American public roads only.

There is no limit to how much driving you can do on a track or private roads or foreign roads. As long as you keep careful records so you can back up your statements, you are fine. :)

Most sales of the McLaren F1 are not nearly as widely publicized as the recent auctions of #011 and #073 were. It could be any car really, but #073 remains a possibility for sure.

11 was sold through Taylor and Crawley to someone. If its the same guy that was at the preview looking at it, he owns a red 360 spyder as well. Thats all i know

Where's this roster you speak of? The www.gumball3000.com website is a Flash nightmare and I didn't really see any list of participants.

The website says that they begin in paris on may 05, so I guess it didn't start yet. I think those pictures are of the cars that are starting to arrive a couple days early.

mclaren from startpoint to the lastest to realize the superior of
the machine for auto lovers in korea and sometimes i used to utilze
such as "Mclaren was developed with nearly zero compromises" introducing Mclaren to korean as you already mentioned. i think
it's expression is best of best.

Well I think it's safe to say now that there isn't even one McLaren F1 participating in this year's Gumball Rally.

I've scanned every album I can find and several threads on various message forums looking for any mention of an F1 and there simply hasn't been one.

A new thread on SC.net today with photos from the start shows a single Enzo, no Zondas and no F1s. My previous assumption of two Enzos was actually incorrect - it was the same car, and the license plate had been swapped out.

Bummer for us anyways... :disappoin
