i recently bought a performance module off of ebay for my 1990 subaru legacy. all it is, is a resistor that you connect to the intake sensor that supposedly allows for cooler air flow giving a slight boost in horsepower. now being that i don't have much technical know to to perform this myself i will have to take it to the dealership or something so my question is, are they going to laugh at me when i bring it in? my roomate seems to think that its not going to work at all but he's no mechanic either. just wondering if anyone with a little bit of technical knowledge about this kinda stuff could give me some insight. thx

It might work, but its doubtful that you will notice much of a difference. Im hoping you didnt pay too much for it, cause if its just a resistor then you could have bought it somewhere for a buck.

Anyways, dont take my advice too seriously because im not quite sure what this device is, but chances are the dealership wont install it because its not supposed to b there.
