Here is a question i think it might be different person to person but here it goes. A 93 Del sol SOHC, against a 91 Prelude 2.0 Si DOHC. Both Stock. in a mile. drivers are skilled equally which of the two cars would win. in general dont get to picky unless you know what you are talking about.

Is the SOHC V-tec? And the prelude is H22 right?

But is it SOHC V-tec or DOHC V-tec... From my experience the SOHC V-tec sucks ass, and in that case the Prelude, supposedly the strongest Honda motor, will spank it, but w/ a DOHC V-tec I'm not so sure.

Definitely the Prelude!!!! I know a couple of SOHC V-tecs, just drove the Del Sol today actually, they are ALL SLOW! Drove my firend's Si and it is soooo much faster than the Del Sol I drove today, and I think the prelude is up there w/ the Si, if not faster.

i'd go del sol. it's 300 lbs lighter and makes similar hp although it has low torque. not to mention that it handles with go-kart precision.

Third gen Prelude vs. a Civic Del Sol, hmm... I'll say the Del Sol. But it probably is rather close.
