Hi folks...

As far as I could search over the net, Pirelli is the only maker for Countach tires. Am I right? I hope I am not.

I searched over the Bridgestone/Firestone, Michelin and nothing.

I've searched this tires:

Front tire size : 205/50 VR 15
Rear tire size : 345/35 VR 15

Where else I can find the Countach tires?

Hi Mstrcontrol,
I know that yokohama used to do a set of tires that where the correct size for the countach a few years ago,but if they are still available i'm not sure.

Yokohama did sell an AVS (Intermediate series) tire. I'm on my second pair of rear tires with those. Believe it or not, I picked up 2 tires from www.tirerack.com and had them shipped to my house(they somehow arrived the next day) and I only paid about $285.00 for the pair!!! I think they were marked down because of the LOW demand for these tires in this size. However, I do think they are continueing to make the Yokahama Pilot series in this tire which is about $500.00 each tire. They are tho only other brand I know of that makes this size. Good luck and please post price and location if you get some. -Paul

Are those Z rated? I don't feel too happy just using VRs on a machine with so much top end.

Yes, they should be. Who would make a tire in that size that will not fit the performance machine it is build for? It would be like an oxymoron, especially not Yokahama. I don't think Yoko makes the 345's anymore though. On the other Lamborghini boards this was discussed and they did stop making them... You aren't the only one wanting these cheaper tires... I guess we gotta dish out the bigger bills now. Good Luck.

Well I see that it's having a little discussion about the velocity rate of the Countach tires...

According with www.lambocars.com the original LP500S tires were rated V.

However, according to the Pirelli (www.pirelli.com) website the tire velocity rates are:

+---------------+
|Percentage of|
+------+running time|
|Speed +---+---+---+---+
| km/h| H | V | W | Y |
+------+---+---+---+---+
| 210|100|100|100|100|
| 220| - | 97|100|100|
| 230| - | 94|100|100|
| 240| - | 91|100|100|
| 250| - | -| 95|100|
| 260| - | -| 90|100|
| 270| - | -| 85|100|
| 280| - | -| -| 95|
| 290| - | -| -| 90|
+------+---+---+---+---+
