Okay i searched and did not find anything just replacement gauge packs so is there anything out there that i can buy that i can hookup to the computor in the X to recalibrate the speedometer? When i do put the bigger tires on it.

Okay thanks someone on another forum said to use a gps to figure out how fast you are driving.

Just figure out how much bigger your new tires will be. I went from a 255/65R16 to 265/75R16, which is about 8-9% larger, which means my speedo is off about 8-9% as well.

Many people have found that larger tires actually correct their speedometers. It's actually quite commone for speedos to read fast from the factory. That said, I think mine must have been pretty much dead on. Using a GPS for comparison purposes I have about an 7 - 8% error with 32" tires. It's pretty easy to just factor that 8 % out (about 4 - 5 MPH error at highway speeds) and drive accordingly. Plus, your warranty lasts longer that way. :D

I did get pulled over recently though and according to the State Trooper I have a 15% error riding on my 31's. Yeah, rrriiiggghhhhtttt!!!! I told him that was impossible and he let me go with a warning. :rolleyes:

Cripes, being in the boonies makes for some seriously bored cops eh? A warning is even rediculous. 30.6/29.6 is all of 3.4%. That and the fact the 02 comes stock with a 31" equivalent on the SC w/ the same final drive ratio...
