Any cheap 1992 Escort GT performance enhancements?

I have a 1992 Escort GT (1.8l) with approx. 75,000 kms. It's basically stock, except for a K&N filter and the highest-quality, aftermarket fluids. The car has 127 bhp at the flywheel, stock. With the K&N and high-octane fuel, I may have rounded that up to 130 bhp.

That said, are there any performance chip modifications available for this car - either through replacing or reprogramming the stock chip? (I've watched enough shows where this has been done to other autos.)

If not, are there any other cheapish performance mods. for this engine - short of changing injectors, exchanging manifolds, "stroking," or adding forced induction (turbo, supercharger)?

Also, I would like to know where I could find a front strut tower brace, if any is available.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

M.

well the strut touwer brace is easy, actually I have the front and the back and I find them great, youll notice the difference. www.corksport.com plus they have a lot of other things, but as far as cheap products, not too many for any car. but youll see some "cheap" stuff there too.
