I have a 2002 Xterra and for some reason when I shut off the car and open the door, when my lights are on there is no alarm or notification that goes off. Does anyone know if this is just a fuse or something else. Any help would be great.

do you have power doors locks? because wiring schematic for these are different from the manual locks.

Some things to check according to the service manual.

1. power supply and ground circuit check

2. light switch input signal check.

i know this probably doesn't help much unless u have the diagram but i could email it to you and instructions.
