Hey everyone,
My friend and i need to replace the head gasket on his nissian car but i hear that it is really hard. Also, paying someone to do it is expensive. I wanted to know if it is hard...i thought that all you had to do was take off the plugs and bolts, take off the old gasket, and replace it with a new one. Any insight and comments are greatly appreciated.

Locate a service manual and read the procedure. Its complicated and there is a reason why its expensive to pay someone.
You have to re time the camshaft and make sure its back in the same position when you reassemble or you might bend all the valves ($$$$$$) when you crank it over.
The gasket blew for a reason, such as a warped head, overheating etc. You must diagnose the root cause and fix it.
You might have a cracked block or head, and not a blown gasket after all. You must know how to inspect the problem and correct it.
This is a major repair. You can do it, but you need to find a good manual that tells you step by step exactly what to do.
