I said that the two cars were close and it was the case. place : Place du Casino, Monaco date : may 22nd 2002 and not 2003 http://stephseat.free.fr/mclaren_monaco_by_Edvar/Mclaren_f1_gtr_monaco_220502_by_Edvar_200.jpg (http://stephseat.free.fr/mclaren_monaco_by_Edvar/mclaren_f1_gtr_monaco_220502_by_Edvar.jpg) http://stephseat.free.fr/mclaren_monaco_by_Edvar/2mclaren_monaco_220502_by_Edvar_200.jpg (http://stephseat.free.fr/mclaren_monaco_by_Edvar/2mclaren_monaco_220502_by_Edvar.jpg) Ciao Phil BMW V12 03-16-2004, 08:29 AM thx cabrio92!!!!!! you did great!!! but the first link isn't working for me :sly: ^_^ _RicH_24 03-16-2004, 09:41 AM the link was wrong.. here is proper link: http://stephseat.free.fr/mclaren_monaco_by_Edvar/mclaren_f1_gtr_monaco_220502_by_Edvar.jpg lynx_effect 03-16-2004, 12:30 PM Stunning! Well done for acquiring some additional photos of the two Mclarens, especially the second photo with one following the other. by the way I’m loving that Fiat Multipla on the left in the first photo, another prime example of a three seater layout! :op Peloton25 03-16-2004, 01:05 PM Well that orange GTR is definitely going to be difficult to ID... The vents in the nose, as well as those strange side skirts make it a '96. Its definitely not 10R, 11R, 16R, or 17R. That leaves 5 possibilities unless I'm forgetting something which is entirely possible. Thanks for the extra effort Phillip! BTW: Does Edvar have any idea who was driving those two cars? >8^) ER cabrio92 03-16-2004, 01:40 PM Hello, thank you for all your comments. I try to do my best to solve McLaren puzzle :) BMW V12 > ok, it works now. Rich 24 > thanks. lynx effect > It is quite important that they drive together, in my mind, they are related but how ? Peloton25 > I am not a specialist, but can it be the Ex-Jacadi ? Edvar has not seen drivers, but will ask friends if they have more information. This pic is known ? : http://community.webshots.com/album/43511754hhGZrF/2 Ciao Phil cabrio92 03-16-2004, 02:14 PM Hello, please excuse me, I just saw pics of Jacadi and it is not his car. Ciao Phil Peloton25 03-16-2004, 02:38 PM This pic is known ? : http://community.webshots.com/album/43511754hhGZrF/2 That's #27R in it's British GT series livery. >8^) ER mini magic 03-16-2004, 02:58 PM thank you very much. it is greatly appreciated mini magic 03-16-2004, 10:59 PM the jacadi car's plate is 3 EB or 1 EB...its some number and the EB. V12Unleash 03-17-2004, 12:24 AM if the jacadi one you were talking about is this one here chassis #GTR07 which came 5th then i think its different. but every one know what i am talking about right[IMG][IMG]E:\1.jpg V12Unleash 03-17-2004, 12:26 AM Peloton25 03-17-2004, 04:27 AM I wanted to add that this is also more than likely not GTR #13R - a former LARK liveried McLaren that raced in the 1996 Japan GT Series with driver's Ralf Schumacher and Naokki Hattori. That car was recently photographed at some event in Japan still wearing it's original livery. You may recall that I posted that photo here some time ago. Just wanted to remove an additional candidate from the running on that unidentified orange GTR. One more thing I find odd is that I can find photos of three other '96 GTRs and possibly even a fourth with what appear to be those same strange wing-like side skirts this car has, but only the last one is on the list of remaining choices. One car that definitely has them is GTR #10R - but obviously that one is ruled out. Another car that definitely has them is GTR #16R, but that is the White/Blue ex-FINA liveried GTR that Ray Bellm is offering for sale now. The other car that appears to have had them in some photos is actually GTR #11R, but I am beyond positive that is the other orange '96 GTR seen in Sweden so many times, supposedly owned by Tom Meissner. The last possibility from the photos I looked at is GTR #18R - which appears to have them in a very small photo I found, but in the few other shots of that car which exist from the '96 Brasilia and Curitiba promo races (the only two times it appeared) there is no way to be certain if they are on that car or not. I've looked at photos of a few of the other remaining candidates and just dont see any with those skirts. They could, of course, have been added to the car at the time it received the repaint to orange, but there are probably very few sources that could actually confirm or deny that. I won't go so far as to say this orange car is GTR #18R, but it does remain possible. Of course GTR #18R could also be the car masquerading as GTR #17R (FINA livery - #39 race number) in the BMW Mobile Tradition Museum also - who really knows though.... >8^) ER cabrio92 05-18-2004, 06:56 PM Hello, I go to Nice tomorrow passing by Alps and arriving friday for the Week-end. I hope to see the grand prix but I have not tickets or places on a balcony :( Someone has planned to go there this week-end ? A friend who has this excellent site www.supercarfrance.com supervise the Rocher but he doesn't find F1 for the moment. If you have any info, please share. Ciao Phil maartenvanthek 05-19-2004, 04:08 AM the jacadi is 4 EB.. cabrio92 05-25-2004, 06:58 PM Hello, just to say that I didn't see any McLaren this week-end :( Maybe some pics will appear on the net ? Ciao Phil jcsaleen 05-25-2004, 07:05 PM I've already seen the second pic somewhere but the first ive never seen well done:bigthumb:! andybee 05-27-2004, 01:37 AM I think, and you need to check this, that these skirts were developed by DPR (Harrods/West) for the 96 season when they didn't buy McLarens own update. ..i've seen them before for sure, just can't 100% place them andybee 05-27-2004, 06:47 AM heres the Harrods car with the side skirts from 96 http://file1.bobaedream.co.kr/import/import1085646680_2.jpg The car also had a carbon engine cover rather than the conventinal glass/perspex vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
