Saturday night ruined by highschool ricersRicochet 03-15-2004, 10:58 AM Every Saturday the Columbus cars would all meet up at a grocery store parking lot and shoot the shit for a couple hours and all was well, until friends started telling friends and the crowd grew to over 100 cars. Well the ricerbois with blinking lights and crappy unpainted body kits all started causing trouble by speeding through the lot, doing burnouts, leaving trash everywhere, blairing their shitty music, and starting fights with eachother. It got worse as the weeks went by until finally last Saturday night cops were everywhere and two police birds flew on top of the lot and started screaming/cursing at us to get the fuck in our cars and we have 5 minutes to get the fuck out of there and never come back etc... It was like Fast/Furious or some shit, a bunch of ricey cars all piling down a skinny road. Kinda funny, but I hate how the ricerfags ruined it for everybody. Well now our little group (www.columbusracing.com) has a new meeting spot up the road and we ended up going there, then on a cruise around the freeway like always. I pushed myself up to the front of about 20 cars, and there were 4 Mustangs with me, all pretty fast. I lined up with a yellow 4.6 Mach1 with bolt-ons, supercharged 5.0, 5.0 with a 150 shot, and a Silver 4.6 Saleen. We all shot off and instantly three of them left me in the dust. To my surprise I was hanging with the newer Saleen and nudging on him! I lined up with a few other cars, nailng a 4 cylinder sohc Corrado, some older BMW, an Alero, and other helpless little creatures. I also got spanked by an older turbo Supra, a newer 240SX turbo, and a WRX. About 10 miles around the freeway, a cop snuck up to us and the Mustang guys didn't see him. I tried flashing my brights but I guess they thought I was looking for a race or something because they didn't slow down. They lined up for another race, and the yellow Mach1 ended up getting pulled over. When we met back up at our spot, I found out that "Saleen" driver leaned out his stock supercharged motor and could only afford an N/A 4.6 to swap back in there with 8.7:1 compression right now. That was my night, ruined by ricers, but we made the best of it. kidrocket 03-15-2004, 12:04 PM you cant go anywhere without shit like that happening T!mmy 03-15-2004, 12:28 PM See reasons as these are what makes me not want to do the kit as much. But I know that if I do it right like I want then I won't be as bad as the other people. I hate when you see a kit primered and especially when you ask them about it and everytime you talk to them they are getting it painted 'this weekend'. REALLY ANNOYING! whereas in my case I will not, repeat WILL NOT but a kit until I have enough money to buy kit and get it painted. Which then again I also want to repaint my whole car and get shit shaved so my saving up will take awhile longer but still... Ricochet 03-15-2004, 12:49 PM T!mmy having some extra shit on your car is fine w/me, but being an asshole to attract too much attention while other people are trying to have a good time isn't. That was my point.. T!mmy 03-15-2004, 01:02 PM oh yea I understand that I wasn't trying to imply you were but what I was trying to get across was that even though I won't be like them, unless people know me...I'll be put in the same class kidrocket 03-15-2004, 01:38 PM people in st. louis used to get their asses kicked for doing burnouts and shit when we were trying to race. last thing you want to do when you want to maintain a low profile YOUNGSTER 03-15-2004, 04:23 PM i hate it when people gotta be a buzz kill jaxon21 03-15-2004, 07:43 PM hey, kidrocket where are you at in stl? kidrocket 03-15-2004, 08:40 PM i was in chesterfield/wildwood. now i live in kansas city. whereabouts are you from? MexSiR 03-16-2004, 10:45 PM True, its not the car. Its the attitude of the driver. AsianMike 03-17-2004, 04:08 PM Im new to this forum.... I am in Minnesota, and right now nobody is really out due to the weather. But Im glad to see we arnt the only ones with this problem, i am sick of these ricers coming to are spots and being dumb and getting the cops called on us, he have been given the boot out of everyparking lot in the city of Apple Valley. kidrocket 03-17-2004, 07:14 PM welcome aboard mike Mrock 03-19-2004, 05:51 AM I am in Columbia, Mo..I travel to STL fairly often. Good to see more missourians!!!! I hang out a lot at my buddys import shop nowadays. It's a cool place to be...since I can expose myself to a lot of different cars in the making. The only downside, they do a lot of body kit work, and show setups..so I don't get to see as much performance from these cars..but they still have some clean rides. It seems those people are generally cool guys, and don't ruin the scene like the people you mentioned. It sucks..especially when people ruin it, and are under the impression that they are the shit. Too many people around here drive around with cars torn to hell, talking about how they'll "take out anyone". Hell, a kid got into the local paper with the quote "there's no better feeling than going 90 on the loop". He refers to the business loop. It's the WORST place to speed, ricer galore..and not only that, it's very dangerous. It's a busy street. Speed limit is 35 or 40mph, last time I checked. How smart, huh? kidrocket 03-19-2004, 09:59 AM I am in Columbia, Mo..I travel to STL fairly often. Good to see more missourians!!!! would i be hitting a sore spot if i brought up the tigers? :iceslolan Modgod 03-20-2004, 01:21 AM ok Im in highschool and I know what you are talking about ( I own a stock Honda CRX that I would like to sell) but these kids come out of no were asking how fast my DOPE RIDE is and I just look at them like they are stupid, then I tell them its a stock car I plan on getting a new car or actually fixing it up but then they go o that cool dawg I guess its JDM so I do a little retard laugh and leave then I see there cars they have oversized blue body kits on cars that look like a 17 year old mom with 12 kids could afford. But I agree I go with my bro in his Cammaro and there is about 100 ricer boys that talk trash saying domestic is a bunch of crap. kidrocket 03-20-2004, 10:00 AM camaro Mrock 03-21-2004, 02:52 AM would i be hitting a sore spot if i brought up the tigers? :iceslolan Not at all. I'm usually the one doing the trash talking :) I'm from Cleveland, Ohio, lived in Tampa, FL for a while as well..I'm not a huge fan of any missouri sports. Now if you talk junk about the OLD (92-95'ish) Cleveland Indians..then it may get rowdy up in here.. :iceslolan badassaccordriver 03-21-2004, 03:03 AM there aren't many ricers at my high school, just the occasional oversized exhaust tip. most of the kids wouldn't even settle for a Honda as their first car, theres like 2 kids with Boxters, 2 kids with the 2002 ram air Trans Am, and eleventy billion mustangs. damn school..... Modgod 03-22-2004, 01:21 AM camaro lol I always do that makes me feel stupid even know I am stupid :banghead: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
