Constant vibration inside car from engineLouie Box 03-15-2004, 12:41 AM red jencsman 10-19-2007, 05:45 PM my wife used to have a saturn that did that. I think it turned out to be one of the mounting brackets for the engine was broken. Davescort97 10-20-2007, 06:46 PM Ford put out a TSB about this. They have to change some of the transmission mounts and add some bushings. I know some Ford dealerships say nothing can be done about it. It's fairly expensive to get this done. I think in the $300 range. My 97 was doing the same thing. All of the mounts for the engine and tranny except for the top mount of the engine, are on the transmission. I put a board underneath my oil pan (aluminum) and jacked the motor up until the tranny was lifted about 1/2 an inch. Then I loosened and retightened all the mounts to 67 ft.lbs. It's called neutralizing the mounts. It worked for me. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
