My chrome bumper has been damaged, and I need to replace it. It looks like an easy DIY job, but i'm a little concerned about messing with any airbag sensors?? Is there any reason for me to worry??

Any suggestions on an aftermarket bumper or should i replace with chrome???

Thanks

No reason to worry. There are no sensors by the bumper. I would replace with OEM bumper.

The front airbag sensors are mounted inside each of the side frame members. One under the battery and one under the air cleaner.

The airbag sensor assembly is located in front of the console under the radio.

Sorry, I have never bought body parts. There are a lot of sources on internet. Search Google with
bumper Toyota 4Runner

Low cost alternative is nearby salvage yard. Many times they have contacts to find almost anything of value.

also, try a local body shop.

Check the price at Toyota. Best source if they are not too expensive.
