natural temp.azab18868 03-13-2004, 01:29 AM what the natural tempreture for my 97 cavalier ? neves 03-13-2004, 12:44 PM are you speaking of water temp after a full engine warm up? this is between 180 & 190*F. if it is much above this, start with coolant level and quality/age. next check the radiator cap and running coolant system pressure. should run no more than 16 lb/in2. still no good check the waterpump and have the radiator flushed. after that check that the fan is operative and that the fuse and relay to the fan are also operating. if it is still high then your fuel mix is probably lean... azab18868 03-13-2004, 11:41 PM i speak for water temp it is 200*f . is this noramal ? neves 03-14-2004, 04:36 PM this does seem a little high, but not anything to freak about. i would start with a coolant system tuneup ..... thermostsat, radiator flush, new anti-freeze, inspection..... this could also simply be an innacurate gauge of temp. sending unit. you could get it infared checked for acuracy.... but thats kinda overkill for 200 degrees vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
