A man was arrested in an August crime spree that included burning 125 SUVs. The man, a graduate student at the California Institute of Technology, claimed to be a member of the eco-terrorist group, the Earth Liberation Front. The arrested man demonstrated he saw the crimes as a game rather than a pro-environmental action when he sent an e-mail to the Los Angeles Times stating, “The FBI hasn't seemed to pick up on any of them (clues), which makes this whole ordeal rather boring for us, the true culprits.”

He faces up to 40 years in prison.
