I'm also having a high pitched noise from the rear tires (rear wheel drive) that stops when I hit the brakes. Could this be from loose brakes or something else?

maybe a rock is lodged in your caliper?

Also, I have a Prelude, that made a squeaking sound from one wheel while in reverse, but when i put on the brake the sound went away. The sound was coming from the tin wear tab from the brakes. So I had the brakes replaced.
