Hi there. Well, I scraped my bumper on a post the other day with my 1996 del sol. I have only had this car for less than a month, so it is quite depressing. Anyways, I am having a hell of a time trying to find a replacement bumper for this car. For stock bumper, I can only find covers that fit 92-95 del sols. The only 1996 bumpers I seem to run accross are all aftermarket. Now, I would prefer to get a stock bumper, but I guess if I have to buy an aftermarked bumper, I guess I better start looking. Anyone know where I can get a 1996 del sol front bumper cover? (prefferably stock)

Even better, would one of these work on my '96 del sol, even thought i has auxillery lights and says it is for 93-95?

If it does work, I know I would have to buy some fog lights, but I would preffer to have fog lights anyways.

the 96/97 fronts are very rare, and usually come from a dealership and go for about $300. The ones on ebay for the 93-95 are the exact same, but beware.. you get what you pay for. My car came with a cheap ebay front bumper cover, and ugh... it fits like shit. Best bet is to hit up junkyards.

Hmm, ok. Would those 93-95 del sol bumper covers on ebay work on my '96 del sol? If they do, I know I would have to buy some fog lights, so that isn't a big deal. I'm just wondering if it would fit/work.

as far as I know...93-5 should fit...

how bad is the scrape? I've got some on my front bumper...but in some areas it's all cosmetic, if I sanded down the bumper and repainted it, it'd be fine. if it doesn't get as far as plastic, you're fine with the one you have.

the fit is the same for 93-95 or 96/97, but I'm telling you... you'll be pissed that you paid around $150 shipped when you get it and it fits like shit.

I will take a picture of the damage tomorrow if I have time and post a screenshot. Mainly it is 2 small cracks that a lil putty and touchup paint might be able to fix. But, I personally like the fog lights anyways, so I dunno. If I get this bumper to look pretty good after I'm through messing with it, I might not worry about a new bumper.
