Any GM remote experts? What remotes are these?thepartsyouneed 03-08-2004, 04:42 PM http://i21.ebayimg.com/01/i/01/76/d2/d8_1_b.JPG There are no FCC ID numbers listed on back. I took the back off the remote, there is an FCC ID number inside: GOH3Y KCA-UTX - also, CODE ALARM INC. is listed. Any idea which GM car this would be from? Or, is this some type of universal remote? thepartsyouneed 03-08-2004, 04:45 PM Also, this unit: http://i12.ebayimg.com/03/i/01/77/14/6c_1_b.JPG There is no FCC number listed - if there was, it has since been worn off. ponchonutty 03-08-2004, 08:56 PM Wow, haven't seen those in some time. I am thinking the top one is a very old Code Alarm unit that was a special made unit for the Parts depo at GM dealerships. The bottom one looks like an old Excaliber remote with a "Chevy" sticker on it. Neither one is worth diddly and I am sure it would be hard to find a car with a working unit that these would work with because those aftermarket keyless systems were terrible. Plus, these do not work with ANY OEM system. thepartsyouneed 03-09-2004, 06:12 PM How about this one? It has an LED light in the center.... http://i3.ebayimg.com/02/i/01/7a/1c/aa_1_b.JPG FCC ID: EZSOEMTX GM P/M: 12490830 Canada: 1513 103 2045 ponchonutty 03-09-2004, 08:44 PM That one is an aftermarket item that came from Directed Electronics to be sold inhouse at dealerships. It will work with ANY new DEI unit but none of the OEM remotes. Do a search on VKE1000 keyless entries and you'll see it then go to www.directed.com and look at the valet keyless entries. They look the same. philwarner 07-12-2006, 08:29 PM Saw A post from two years ago while searching for info on my older Code Alarm system that came on my 1986 Daimler Double Six V12 (by Jaguar) originally delivered in Belgium. That post said: "There are no FCC ID numbers listed on back. I took the back off the remote, there is an FCC ID number inside: GOH3Y KCA-UTX - also, CODE ALARM INC. is listed. I've been looking for an owners Manual for my Code Alarm system with the two button remotes and two hidden micro switches behind the dash. Anyone have info on 1980s Code Alarm systems? Thanks http://i21.ebayimg.com/01/i/01/76/d2/d8_1_b.JPG There are no FCC ID numbers listed on back. Beware! philwarner 08-02-2006, 07:22 PM The part you need are crooks! I sent for 2 remotes and never got a responce after credit card was charged. Beware! Thanks for the warning. That must be why that poster was no longer on the forum. I have found some code alarm manuals on line; just not as old as the system I have which is around 1986 vintage. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
