Just bought my RX-7flex339 03-08-2004, 02:15 AM Hey everyone. I bought a red 91 N/A today. I got it off of Autotrader and it is great. I drove it all day. It is just so different I love it. It has aftermarket wheels, pacesetter header, aerospeed mufflers, open element K&N, stage 1 clutch, lightened flywheel, eibach 1' springs, and I believe he said tokico shocks. It's a blast and the motor is a rebuild with 45K on it. I thank you all for your insight. BTW I fought what is the best oil to use for the car? p.s. The only downfall is the suspension is stiff as hell and I feel all the cracks. Also damn the car is loud :eek2: Humanoid Typhoon 03-08-2004, 12:07 PM uh, be glad that you can feel everything on the road. It shows that its real performance Don't use syntheic on the engine; make sure you K&N Gold Filter, if you don't have the money go for mobil 1 and mobil 1 oil. uh.... www.rotaryressurection.com read hints and tips www.rx7club.com more heavily involved people there and lots of information keeping the car in good health MBTN 03-08-2004, 10:00 PM Castrol GTX is what most recommend. If you are in a warm/hot climate go for 20w50. If it's cold/warm go for 10w30. :0 flex339 03-08-2004, 10:37 PM This one guy told me that you can run 2 cycle oil in a rotary. Is this true? Is it good or bad to run 2 cycle oil in a rotary? MBTN 03-08-2004, 11:18 PM Well, you can run premix and synthetic but you need to remove the oil injection system. And if you forget to put premix... flex339 03-09-2004, 03:40 AM Well I'm going to stick with the good old injection system :) thanks for the info. flex339 03-11-2004, 01:02 AM Yesterday I changed the oil and spark plugs. I used the Castrol GTX and I put in NGK spark plugs. I think the next thing I'm going to put on is a set of plug wires and change the coolant. Do any of you use those coolant additives? Do you believe they actually work, because I don't really think they do. FR_Madness 03-16-2004, 04:25 PM WOOT! Grat's on the sick ride! I got to drive the thing and it is in really sweet condition! I can't wait to see you drifting that thing! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
