ka24de best ignition timeinglodownlv 03-07-2004, 09:41 AM wondering what the best ignition timeing on a ka24de stock engine would be i was told 20 btdc this true? nissanfanatic 03-07-2004, 12:28 PM That is the factory ignition timing. Your best bet would be to just trial and error it. move the distributor a little each way. I've heard that advancing it a little provides some gain. lodownlv 03-07-2004, 05:57 PM trial and error LOL try timeing light. im just wondering what people ben running best. nissanfanatic 03-07-2004, 11:30 PM Timing light only tells you what timing is. supposedly advancing past 2-3 degrees is detrimental to engine performance. lodownlv 03-08-2004, 04:20 AM how do you figure advancing from 20btdc to 22 or 23 btdc will be detrimental. they arnt that far apart dude. nissanfanatic 03-08-2004, 12:12 PM how do you figure advancing from 20btdc to 22 or 23 btdc will be detrimental. they arnt that far apart dude. http://www.240sx.org/faq/index.html Go to timing change. If you want to tell them they're wrong, go for it, but they seem like they know their stuff. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
