Motor Mount insertsFitzysdelsol 03-06-2004, 05:41 PM I just bought some Energy suspension Motor mount inserts for my 94 Si sol. I wanted to know some opinions on those who put these in there car. what was the installation like. i noticed the rear mount is going to be hard to get to. any hints would be great. Thanks whtteg 03-06-2004, 11:32 PM The rear mount will be very agrivating to install but the others are cake. You will notice after they are installed that the dash and steering wheel will shake alot at idle b/c the dampining of the rubber mounts has been reduced. Just a heads up so you expect it ;) BullShifter 03-07-2004, 05:38 PM I hated having all the inserts installed. The car will vibrate a lot more, I would only recommend them if your having problems tearing up stock mounts. Only insert is in the front mount, rest are stock. The only good thing was reduced wheel hop, not that it's a concern for street driving. Fitzysdelsol 03-07-2004, 09:20 PM Do they make motor mount inserts for the Vtec model del sol???? raley 06-18-2004, 09:03 PM where did you get your mount inserts? and do they make them for the 2 tranny mounts? Raley BullShifter 06-18-2004, 09:05 PM raley 06-18-2004, 09:50 PM do they have the 2 inserts for the tranny? Raley Tranzlogic 06-19-2004, 01:35 PM Just Ask Energy ....ive Heard There Floating Around Somewhere Altho I Havent Seen Them In Play..you Dont Need Inserts On A Tranny Mount Anyways..the Tourqe Mounts Are All That Make The Diff. Most Generally Those Are Serviced With New Mounts Like You Would Use For A Swap...azrace ,placeracing Blah Blah ...you Can Always Make Your Own If You Wanted ..its A 2 Stage Compound That Makes Eurathane..you Simply Remove Your Rubber ..mix It Up And Pour Her In..sort-of-speak..... LS1Smoker 12-13-2006, 01:55 PM I just hate being late to the party..:banghead: jhong1226 12-14-2006, 03:12 PM I have read a post of having a some kind of a glass sealer as a filler for the mounts. i think it was made by 3m and they said it worked pretty good. Now, ill just have to find that site.... jhong1226 12-14-2006, 03:14 PM CivicSpoon 12-14-2006, 04:20 PM For the mounts they're talking about in that link, it's worth a shot. But for regular motor mounts (drivers side, passenger side, and rear), I wouldn't use anything other than a quality mount insert. You really don't even need those 2 extra front mounts. Greenblurr93 12-17-2006, 08:31 PM did my torque mounts today, except i used duct tape one the flat side to seal it off and then just loaded it with window weld. Ill post my thoughts on it when i install them in the next couple days. very easy mod and cheap! and i was gunna do the rear mount just because, but i couldnt get it un bolted... jhong1226 12-19-2006, 03:57 PM Did you use the 3m brand?? Greenblurr93 12-19-2006, 09:19 PM yes, its called 3m Window Weld. just installed them today, car should be drivable by tomorrow and them ill post reactions about them. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
