Have a 2000 JGCL that drives just fine, but then all of a sudden dies while on the road. The dern keyless sentry light is on. This is aggravating and needless to say dangerous; I have to shove it into neutral, turn off the ignition, and then try to crank it again while driving. Help before I have a wreck !

something wrong with either your Key or the reciever in the car. In order for the car to run, it needs to detect the Sentry Key, for some reason it sounds like its not detecting the key. You will probably need to get it serviced by a Jeep dealer ASAP!

Must be the receiver since both keys have the same effect. Do you know where the receiver is located and if a fuse runs off it?
