84 Performance Projectvsocks 03-04-2004, 03:06 PM I'm new to the forum. I have a 84 Cross Fire A/T Corvette that I have stored for 5 years. Bought it as a project and only did the interior so far. I am ready to get to work this summer. I want to get more performance-maybe 350HP. My engine needs a rebuild (.030 over?) and I want to keep EFI, no carbs. So I am wide open on engine mods which I know will require a custom chip. I bought some 88 vette aluminum ZZ-4 heads (casting #10088113) and need to install hardware for these. Heads came machined with valves. I am rebuilding the rear end right now with 3.07's, poly bushings, heavier sway bar, and slotted rotors, calipers, and pads. Need intake mods I know. Is X-Ram the answer? I saw some blurbs in Corvete fever about a Offy #5893 manifold mod. Never heard how it came out. Sounds like the same idea as the X-ram being sold. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated. Need a cam suggestion also. landpilot 03-04-2004, 04:48 PM X-Ram is the least costly solution at ~ $500. If you go with a full system from Edelbrock you're looking at ~ $3,000. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
