Hi i'm working on a lebaron that had a small trunk fire over the rear left tire...That made the wires that sit over the tire all melt together, so none of the tail lights work. i tried pulling them apart and individually taping them as a form of insulation, but did not work, fuses kept blowing. So the tail lights won't work becuase the fuses keep blowing. Do you think i should just cut that whole clump of melted mess out and resplice? I was told to cut before and after it, and if the fuses keep blowing then my problem is in the front of the car, and if they don't i can work my way through the back. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I would cut before and after the affected area and re-splice.

However, depending on where exactly it is burned, I have a rear wiring harness for the taillights from a 1989 LeBaron GTC. If your LeBaron is a J-body coupe it will work just fine.

Let me know if you're interested.
