I have a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo and can anyone tell me why my brake and battery dash lights came on?

Thanks in advance

This the classic symptoms of your charging system not maintaining 14v with the truck running. Most common cause is a bad alternator (only use OEM replacement), old tired battery, battery terminal, connection/ cable, or grounding issue.

Joel - hit it on the head!

1. Clean up the battery connection including were it grounds to the body
2. if your battery is 4-5 years old replace it
3. if the lights come back replace the alt.

I'll clean and check the battery connections first and then hope and pray

I got my car serviced by my mechanic. He replaced the alternator. My alternator gauge is showing approximately 13 volts versus 10 volts. Thanks for your help and suggestions
