Hi,

I read the manual and it said to add some LSD (Limited Slip Differential) Oil/Additivie to the Gear oil when replacing the differential fluids.

What kinds did you guys used,....or is it even necessary for the additive?

The LSD additive (for the rodeo rear diff) is a tube of friction modifier liquid, that allows slippage of the clutch packs in the rear diff of rodeo's or troops equiped with LSD. The rear diff will chatter like crazy around turns if you dont use it. I highly recommend using OEM LSD additive from a zu dealer or www.stcharlesauto.com

How would you know whether or not your car is equipped LSD? I have a 2001 Honda Passport EX.

I bought it at the dealer; $6.91 plus tax. You must use it if your Rodeo has option code: G80 (LSD).

St. Charles is definately the way to go! My local "stealer" wanted almost $17.00 for the additive! In fact the parts guy didn't even realize an additive needed to be added. I asked what they did when they performed their differential service, and he didn't know!

I think that I'll stick to my Haynes manual and you guys for as much of my maintenance as possible :iceslolan
