Are parking lots OK? :DChuckH 01-04-2002, 02:16 AM The view outside from my office window. Not a bad view, eh? :) ChuckH 01-04-2002, 02:18 AM ...and reflected in the mirror! :licker: Just pretend there's no pavement under my tires. ozxterra 01-05-2002, 03:49 AM Right On!! Philosopher 01-08-2002, 01:35 PM DORK! :D ChuckH 01-08-2002, 08:58 PM Yeah, so??? :D You're just jealous because I can keep an eye on my baby all day! superjens 01-10-2002, 12:47 PM Chuck, I have the same kind of view out my window. Kinda nice to take a peek once in awhile ain't it! :D http://www.superjens.com/pictures/jan2002/parked.jpg Schludwiller 01-10-2002, 01:18 PM Originally posted by ChuckH Yeah, so??? :D You're just jealous because I can keep an eye on my baby all day! He's certainly not jealous of that Big Ass ARB sticker you put on your deflector. :p ozxterra 01-10-2002, 01:23 PM Jens - those dunlops look nice. I think I might put some nice wheels on mine with my AT"s and use the old ones for a set of Goodyear MT/R's. Claus was just at a tire shop nearby, apparently some other Xterra owner went in recently and traded in his General Grabbers for some Long Trails. WTF? Idiot! Another pic of the tires: Closeup (http://www.superjens.com/pictures/jan2002/tireclose.jpg) rrdstarr 01-10-2002, 05:29 PM Those look like a real good mud tire! Next time OZXterra and I won't have to jump up and down on your bumper for traction! :D Are they 31's"? superjens 01-10-2002, 06:12 PM Admit it Rick, you just had fun bouncing on it. I'm surprised the two of you didn't rip it right off :p They're 31's, yessir. I don't see those damn parking lot speed bumps giving me any more problems haha! Xlax 01-11-2002, 03:15 AM Shit, this must have been a slow day at the office !!!! I too am hooked on the Dunlop's There less than BFG's but are no different.... Philosopher 01-11-2002, 01:11 PM Originally posted by Xlax Shit, this must have been a slow day at the office !!!! I too am hooked on the Dunlop's There less than BFG's but are no different.... Are they 3 ply sidewalls? Do they have the rim protector and side lugs like the new KM's? Stormy 01-11-2002, 03:31 PM I didn't see anything on their website saying what ply the sidewall was. superjens 01-11-2002, 03:52 PM Their website states: Six full plies under tread for greater tread block stability and overall tire durability Two plies on the sides I believe, whereas BFG has 3 (AFAIK). Side lugs? Dunno what you mean by that exactly, but I can tell you the lugs on the sides of the tread have a steep angle. Here's another pic from some site: http://static.epinions.com/images/ext/auto/112/autoTiresAllDunlop_Radial_Mud_Rover-resized180.jpg ozxterra 01-11-2002, 04:40 PM I hear the 2 ply is good on the Dunlop as they follow as similar (and cheaper) pattern to the Goodyear MT/R since Dunlop is basically Goodyear. I think the Goodyear is 3 ply though. I just ordered some good looking steel finished wheels at Discount Tire for $32 a piece! Ill keep the stock steel wheels for when I get some Goodyear MT/R's later this year. For now I am contented with the BFG AT's. I'll be curious to hear how the Dunlops act in snow. Cheers scott.com 01-11-2002, 04:40 PM Originally posted by Xlax Shit, this must have been a slow day at the office !!!! I too am hooked on the Dunlop's There less than BFG's but are no different.... I have to admit at the price he paid Jens got a great deal on those tires. No different though. Here's the BFG MT. ozxterra 01-11-2002, 04:46 PM Goodyear MT/R. Reviewed by some as a better performer than the BFG with better road manners as well. Xlax 01-11-2002, 04:52 PM Originally posted by Philosopher Are they 3 ply sidewalls? Cheers i might grab some pro comps. they look alot like a bfg mt and cheaper.procomp (http://www.procomptires.com) lemsip 02-24-2002, 03:36 PM Originally posted by XMan9 i might grab some pro comps. they look alot like a bfg mt and cheaper.procomp (http://www.procomptires.com) Pro Comps run very small, a 31 is much closer to a 30. I seriously considered them, but went with BFG muds in the end because they actually ended up being cheaper. I saw some Pro Comp muds on a truck last weekend and although the lugs are large, the gaps between them are very narow. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
