I was waiting of a confirmation of a new job to sell my jeep and get a new car. The day I got the job i walked out to my 1995 jeep grand cheokee limited (2WD I-6) and found this...

A/c stopped working of a apparent blown fuse in fusebox underhood. It has had a brand new a/c (inside and underhood) system installed over 6 months ago (about 8months...past warranty). The darn thing keeps blowing fuses. The a/c compressor fuse (15amp) is being blown sporadically... not just when the a/c compressor cycles on. Cutch is ok. Plenty of freon. When i replace the fuse it works for a bout half a day or about 6 start-ups and then stops. Wiring seems ok... no cuts or tears. Everthing is connected. Any ideas as to what in the heck this is? Could it be that that something is spiking the amps over 15 momentarly... becuase I have though about putting a 20 amp in to see if that does the trick. Most of the people i speak whit say 5 amp shouldn't fry anything. The sad thing is my jeep is in pristine condition other than this little annoyance.

I guess if its a short doesn't have to be between the box and the compressor.... nothing else have ever given me trouble like this... no electrical trouble what so ever... except this a week before i want to sell it!

for reference: 1995 jeep GC-limited (ZJ), 4.0, 2WD, 133K oh and as a refence to other posts... i get about 16-17 city and 22-23 highway, mostly stock.

Sorry if i sound bossy but i need to get this fixed to sell it asap, my new car is on its way. MUCH, MUCH THANKS TO WHO EVER CAN LEND ANY INSIGHT!!!!
