hi everyone, kinda new here, I just have a question , manual says that normal oil pressure is between 30 to 60 psi during driving but mine is lgoes ess than 30 and I checked the oil level and it's good. Is there something to worry about? thanks.

What year is your Z? The 1990's were kinda notorious for burning oil. The valve seals get worn out after a while. Shoot us back. peace foo's :p

mine is an 87 also, doesn't have any leak do you think it's just the sending unit that's at fault?

The oil sending units in z31's are pieces of sh*t. Replace it. And only use the nissan sending units from the dealership.

I've been through 3 sending units in 2 years. I finnaly scraped the electronics and changed over to a manual oil pressure gauge.

you have to remember the Z is like any other car, the oil pump is engine driven...not electric. meaning that the pump operates based on engine speed. at low engine speed, the pump moves less oil and creates less pressure than at higher rpms. so no having low oil pressure at idle is not a problem...but at high rpm, you might have some serious issues if you don't figure out why. hope this helps you all
