The WRX is said to have 227 horsepower at the crank? right? so then why does it only have 165 to the wheels? Those are the numbers that power pages for Import Tuner got. I know its awd but a loss of 60 hp seems alot to me.

well a general rule of thumb i think is take off 20% and you have your whp. or is it 12%? i can't remember. it's one of those two.

it should be around 180, it all depends on what kind of dyno they're using. sounds like really conservative numbers though.

yeah that's right....you take about 20% from the crank to the wheel. so yeah i think if you take 20% off of 227 it's 181.6 hp. so yeah i don't know where they got the 160's

Speaking of dynos, does anyone know of an AWD dyno in California by chance?

The numbers that I have seen are more like 175 awhp, not 165.

Also, more and more all wheel drive dynos are coming up everywhere, do a search in google or something, im sure you can find one in cali.
