CODE 34 from computer.

I have a 1987 Lesabre and it is running very badly. I replace the cam posisition since it was easy, but I do not want to spend much on the car since it is sooooo old!

I am getting a 34 code , can some one tell me what this code is please?

My code book shows 3 different things for code 34.
1. Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor signal
voltage high.
2.MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor or circuit.
3.Vacuum sensor or Manifold Absolute pressure(MAP) sensor (high vacuum) or circuit (3.8L.)
Hope it isn't a MAF sensor there kinda expensive, also look for a vacuum leak,its less expensive.

I KNOW THIS ONE!!! It is the Mass Airflow Sensor. Simple as that. Pick one up from a salvage yard cheap. DEFINATELY THE MAF. No questions asked. But, definalty go to the salvage yard if you don't want to spend a whole lot. make sure that they guarentee it, and that it works. Good luck!
