Someone had posted earlier you can fit 31X10.50's on a stock Rodeo if you crank up the torsion on the front. How do you do that?

Follow the torsion bars back to where they attach to the frame x-member (right about under the driver/passenger). You will see two large hex nuts facing downwards. These are the t-bars adjusters. Tighten those to raise the front, loosen them to lower. Keep in mind- that by doing this, you change the front suspension geometry & will have to have a caster or camber adjustment to the front wheels to change them from \ / to | | after the t-bar crank. Shims typically have to be added or taken away from where the "A" arms attach to the frame.

Will I have to add shims to prevent that \ / if I only raise it an inch or so? I only want to raise it enough to fit the tires under.

If you only raise it enough to fit the tires I can imagine that you'd get rubbing with suspension travel. Also if you crank the torsion bars it will stiffin the ride.

I also have 31's (275/70) at stock height, and have done some
serious off-roadin' with this set-up with no problems!
Of course I plan on lifting but you don't have to.
