Engine swap question

Hey, I have a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with a stock 307 in it, and I was wondering if a swap with an 86 Chevy Suburban 350 would be clean, or if I'd need to get a new transmission, hood (witha cowl), engine mounts, ect. I've neevr done a swap myself, so I'm pretty unsure right now, but I do have people who have helping me. Any answers would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I have done my share of swaps and no matter how simple you think it's going to be, it's always going to be tougher the first time.

Here's a checklist to help smooth things out.

- Motor mounts the same?
- Bellhousing the same bolt pattern?
- Block Dimensions
- Wiring Harnesses need to be modified? Or can similar be found?
- Did both Engines use the same ECU? (I believe they did in your case)
- Draw full diagram of Vacuum lines
- Compatability of Emissions Control Equipment
- Cooling system (Hose Locations?)
