Why Are Honda Drivers So Cocky And Have Big Mouths every civic i ever raced i smoked them....can anyone tell me why they talk so much trash i think their mouths have to compensate for them slow ass hondas....

neons in my opinion are the most under rated cars in the race scene. what the honda drivers dont know about confuses them and leads to assumption. its not wrong to have pide in your car but read the facts and race!

Thank you for agreeing with me finally. but now lets think in shop rite a pepsi has more liters than a civic. a 420a engine can beat most of the b series motors but has anyone seen the srt-4 video destroying these imports? But lets not go off topic here ANY DODGE NEON whether it is a first gen second gen or the srt-4 can beat these civics. also if a neon was an import it would definitely get more credit.

I think you guys are getting a little out of hand here. Honda owners are cocky just becuase they are ricers, or just people like most people that think their car is fast, no ifs ands or buts about it. BUT your slow neon aint beating any B-series, Period. Even most R/T's and ACR's can have a hard time with B-series. Most of the time, honda drivers think they can buy a honda to get a fast car, and they still dont know how drive. But honda's are underrated by people like you. But overrated by most people.

Neons are under rated?? These are the second most riced out vehicles out there, next to a civic of course. The only fast neons are the one's with magnum engine's and the srt-4's. Come on guys, your neon aint that fast, 17's aren't fast. Why cant you face the fact that your car isn't fast, mine isnt, and I can admit it. I still want to race, at the strip with bracket racing. I dont see how you have to worry about people saying that you have a slow car, it doesnt bother me.

I aint tryn to start nothn but you r right about the fact that some ricers cant drive but i have seen neons smoke b motor civics. and also i think a neon is not the second most riced out car. it may depend on where u live but in most places neons are a rare car to see. I also think that there are a lot of riced out supras, rex's,wrx,impreza's,integras,240's,and a lot of other cars

There, I said it. Is it that hard? JDM or Mopar it doesn't matter. Everyone has something that their car can be made fun of. The concept of modding a Neon is the same as modding a Civic, you're taking a commuter car and turning it into something it wasn't originally designed for. The SRTs are the only things that can be spoken differently of. The R/T's aren't too bad either but the point being is that the car is designed to be a compact work/school/home car. So is the Civic.

Now your problem lies in the fact that you care what they say. If you didn't care they'd shut up knowing it didn't do any good. If you shut up they wouldn't get offended and then they wouldn't say anything either. Bam. Problem solved. If you're so sure you can wipe the floor with them, race them. Beat them and they'll shut the fuck up.

So one more time for you guys: Shut the fuck up and tell the same to those who bothor you. All your problems will go away.

I just gotta say if your doin 17's in your neon, you dont know how to drive, or its ATX and in that case you shouldn't be racing at all.

any where I've been(and I've been a lot of places) I never see done out neons. Where do you live bye the way? If there are so many neons done up there, I would love to come by. I sure love to see neons all done up. I race civics all the time,and I beat civics all the time, I agree that a lot of them probably just don't know how to drive, but at the same time they have what, a 1.66l engine with 115hp, when we have 2.0's with like 136hp we should be able to beat them.

I live in Northern Virginia... When I lived in New Jersey (shore near Atlantic City... little place called Margate) I saw a handfull of them too. "Done up" is not the term I'd use for them though.

Utter nonsense. There are B-series that will beat Neons and Bs that will lose. It's a pretty close match. The Neon has the cubes (torque), and the Civic has (or HAD) the weight advantage and VTEC.

I've beaten many civics off a red light in regular city driving in my 2000 Neon, which is fully stock. I absolutely agree, that, as someone else has mentioned, the Neon is very underrated

okay civics with d15's (1.5L) dont matter who ya are wat ya say ya all know a neon will beat it some b16's neons will beat, B18 gsr motor neons dont have a chance and anything above the B18's well just forget it... i own a neon R/t and very true they are slow but yea we will beat civics certain ones that is my neon is running a 17. flat i tried everything in the world to get it lower i beat the living shit outa it down the track.maybe something is wrong with it well i cant figure out wat if there is theres maybe 900 bucks under my hood and nothing but slowness *maybe there is something wrong but! maybe there isnt* doesnt matter.

you sure as hell must not know how to drive then because I have 99 plymoth and had hot air intake , flowmaster and a cut stuck shifter on a SOHC 5spd and I busted out a 16.5(16.7 average) with full system in the back the car was bone stock exept those mods.

first off i dont know why anyone said hondas can win against a neon and i'll have to agree with ole boy up there hondas do have less liters than a pepsi secondly i will race any honda/acura out there and blow the doors off of it and if ya wanna give it a try then come on with it but just remember one thing ya better not be stock talkin all that shit as for running 17's you just dont know how to drive 900 aint alot peerformance wise but you shouldnt be running 17's i have a 1997 neon highline 5 spd 2.0 SOHC and when it was stock i ran 16.7's now i have a stage 2 turbo and a blitz intercooler a cai catback exaust Greddy boost controller bigger throttle body a ACT racing clutch and a better tranny a heddman header MSD ignition
apexi N1 Muffler and now i run mid 11's usually around 11.3 when i get a good take off...so all you hondas bring it....

There is a pretty big difference between modifying Hondas/Acuras, and Neons.

The difference is, VTECH, and Engine swaps. Its a lot easier to make N/A power out of Hondas/Acuras since they rev a lot higher because of VTECH, and they can easily become considerably fast by swapping motors, which is basically what owning an import is all about these days. You buy a POS CRX/HB/Civic for less than 2k, and you drop a b16, b18, ls-vtech, H22 or watever motor in it and start smoking people;
Neons on the other hand, don't have many other siblings from which they can change parts with, and they don't have any kind of variable valve timing, therefore making it very hard to make power, unless you go turbo of course.

Personally I like all sport compacts, I like the Neon because it is, like people said, underrated. You can make Hondas/Acuras a lot faster for the money that you would spend on a Neon, but I think people that buy Neons do it to be different, and to try to bring its reputation up.

I used to love Neons, but after the SRT-4 came out, it doesn't feel as original to me anymore...

neons and civics are both slow...sure pretty much any stock neon is gonna beat any stock civic other than an si but the performance of the two is still kinda on the close side...the reason im drivin an '01 r/t and not a civic is cuz theres about a billion civics out there and i dont like to be like everyone else...both of these cars can be fast w/ enough money put into them but i cant stand seein these guys w/ these '89 civics with an intake and exhaust thinkin that they're drivin full out race cars
