Finally I can show: Project Black Sunshine73superduty 02-23-2004, 01:19 PM Finally! The contest is now over(I didn't place at all). I did however have a lot of fun building this model for the contest. As was mentioned this car is based of the White Zombie recording of Black Sunshine with narration by Iggy Pop. It is done as I would think Rob Zombie himself would have done if a video for this was made. My interpretation: http://www.hickorytech.net/~batsonx5/blacksun15.JPG http://www.hickorytech.net/~batsonx5/blacksun5e.JPG http://www.hickorytech.net/~batsonx5/blacksun7g.JPG http://www.hickorytech.net/~batsonx5/blacksun27.JPG http://www.hickorytech.net/~batsonx5/blacksun3.JPG The Lyrics: (Gripping the wheel, his knuckles went white with desire! The wheels of his Mustang exploding on the highway like a slug from a .45. True death: 400 horsepower of maximum performance piercing the night... This is black sunshine.) Yeah! Move me in the silence baltic motorway hang me on the edge before I fall away - Apocalypse is dawnin' action on the mile. A "can-do" revolution - Earth to the river [nile] Sweet'n the ride - Black Sunshine - Sweet'n the ride - Yeah - Sweet'n the ride - Black Sunshine - Sweet'n the ride - Yeah! Cry a river "cosmic" - Moon in Scorpio, feel her body "breathe" - Acid radio - Tell me that you like it - when I'm going down! Tell me that you like it - Move to the speed of [sound] Sweet'n the ride - Black Sunshine - Sweet'n the ride - Yeah - Sweet'n the ride - Black Sunshine - Sweet'n the ride - Yeah! Go! Slide into - I said "44" cool heart can - A hypnotize dream into infinity - I turned the love to lies - crawl across the water - wave and sink into the sea - Reflect'n onto everything - that you can never be "Check-out" Yeah! To the devil a daughter comes 2000 worlds away Yeah Born to lose the love you choose - Destroy another day - check out!! Sweet'n the ride Black Sunshine - Sweet'n the ride Yeah! Sweet'n the ride Black Sunshine - Sweet'n the ride - Stare into the T.V. kiss off the pain! Wonderland is falling - no sing - no rain Momentary - damage into the high drift me to the circuit sky (Finally nothing moves. High noon - Blacktop rolling below the asphalt drive - A concrete fascination scraping the edge of nothing - This is blacksunshine.) The kit I used Revell-Monograms Super Stallion kit. Built it box stock(yep, even the incorrect engine). I painted the body with Model master flat black, 4 coats, final two coats were wet sanded to give it that soft look. Black chrome bmf foil went underneath the hood. The windows, headlights and tailights were painted using Tamiya clear red acrylic. The driving lights(sunshine) were painted Tamiya clear yellow acrylic. The exhaust was painted with Model Master stainless steel metalizer. The chassis was painted flat black and I added a pearl clear over for effect was all. The kit wheels centers were painted Model Master black chrome. This was a fun and very easy kit to build. It didn't take long after I had planned everything out and knew exactly what I wanted to do. Thanks for lasting through this!!! Warm water and a drop of dishsoap as well. Chris 86_SR5 02-23-2004, 03:36 PM cool. I'll have to give that a shot sometime soon. flyonthewall 02-23-2004, 04:34 PM Very unique, i like it! JBarry 02-23-2004, 05:08 PM Oh man! That's dark. It says 'fear'. It is evil. Rates as one of the best builds I've ever seen on AF. I love it! Keep up the great work. J. I was hoping to build a '69 stang on a similar theme, dammit you've beat me :D I might do the firebird from Monster Magnet's "Space Lord (Intergalactic 7 remix)" video instead... Or back on the white zombie theme, someone could do a Thunderkiss 65 '65 T-bird.... Thor302 02-24-2004, 08:40 PM I love it!!! is that a real song or did you write it?
