Hie guys. Just got a 306 XLd and the steering judders and vibrates at certain speeds during acceleration and deceleration. Its almost like its bumping along and cant do high speeds cause it feels dangerous. Steering also rattles when turning sharply to the left at low speeds.

Second problem is speedometer is not working and the accelerator seems very heavy, is this normal with 306s as im new to them and how can i fix speedo. Bought the car from a relative for peanuts and want to do it up at minimal cost and in need of help.

Thank you all.

get some exchange drive shafts, and your shake will be gone.depending on year it could be just the speedo cable gone,or if a later year wiring and/or gearbox sender unit.check the pedal mount inside car for integrity.and the throttle cable for stiffness.

if it is your speedo cable, then your milage counter will have stoped as well!
