by posting this in the rx-7 forum, people are obviously going to say rx-7.
If you want a single turbo rx-7 you want the fc3s. If you dont know anything about rx-7s get the fc3s.

Theres a part of AF called the car comparison. You should post this in there and you will get more of a non-bias opinion.

The third gen 84-89 turbo Z was mediocre at best; Handling is kind of pitiful, especially when compared to the other cars of its time. 200hp was decent.

90+ z's are twin turbo, they are NICE, I have a friend with a non-turbo and I know a guy with a twin turbo, the non-turbo is pretty fast for being so heavy and non-turbo, the twin turbo is a beast(for a stock car) and they have a good amount of support. non-turbo FC's are the most reliable engines of either car and any generation, in my opinion, turbos will need a rebuild, but the turbo z will probably need a rebuild pretty quick too. the FD is the fastest of the cars I am pretty sure, and either the FC turbo or FD would smoke a 300zx in a road course, lots of variables... just do a lot of research :)

Get a 300ZX cause it sounds like you dont know how a rotary works, and that is a very important part of owning a 7.

The FC if your gonna go RX-7, cause the FD is quirky and since you are inexperianced in rotary, the FD would probably be a headache
