When I rev my car to about 1500 and hold it there, an annoying rattling sound comes out from either the back of my engine or under my car. It sounds like metal so Im pretty sure its my exhaust, especially the cat. converter. Does anybody know if it could be the heat plate or anything like that?

Also...what usually happens if the Airbag light is always on? A bad fuse or bad sensor? Give me the lowdown.

Check your exhaust heat shield. I had the same problem and it turned out that the bolt holding the heat shield in place was loose.

As for your airbag light, I would first check the fuses. If they are fine, then take the car to the shop to get the light diagnosed. Sometimes a short in the circuits somewhere will cause this. But check it ASAP so you don't risk the bags blowing on you. FOr some Neons, I believe 97 and older there was a recall for a bad switch.

So would that be in the fuse box or in the box with the relays under the hood? I would do it myself if anything.

Now the ABS light is on and has been through 3 start ups and shut offs. I know that means it wont work but what happened if its permanent?

I disconnected the battery to check my fuses, then found out I can just look at them without pulling them out. Anyway...all my fuses are fine, even my ABS one. It hasnt come on today though which is good...and my Check Engine light went away too. The computer must have just remembered to keep the light on after the camshaft sensor was fixed.

Well, you may have just had to reset the computer (as you did when you disconnected the battery). As a general rule of thumb in the future tho, anytime you make a change to the engine/transmission (like your replaced camshaft sensor) it is always best to reset the battery after the repair or modification has been done.

Nope...it came on again so something is stupid. Nothing is wrong with the car that is noticeable but the light is still on. I dont think the mechanic knew what he was doing though because the one that replaced my head gasket said it needed to be fastened in there, then the light would go off.
