Im not sure what year my friends car is but i think its mid 90s. He has a 300zx not twin turbo and I was just wondering what the stock wheel horsepower is, and then what you guys might think he could be pushing with a fuel pump, an intake, an exhaust, and a computer chip. If it helps I know he has an auto. Also if you have any idea what kind of quarter mile he might run that would be great. Thanks a lot for the help.

222HP stock... with those mods: anywhere from 75HP to 100HP more! 1/4? I don't know... I hate drag-racing....

fuel pump is good up to like 650 hp, and the other 3, chip only optamizes fuel maps, intake and exhaust probably only a few more by the time the tranny get done eating it away. do a TT swap, you'll be happier.

Well I guess the TT power isnt for everyone. Me for example. I personally dont think that swap would be too good for me. I would rather leave my Z basically stock (except for intake, small mods) for road use, I would like to enjoy my car, rather than seeing it wrapped around a telephone pole. 300hp + me=Bad bad incident. Haha I guess i'll save the high HP for the tracks. Peace foo's :p

BUt quarter I can give you an estimate at... 13.5 is stock running time for a Z about right? Sound somewhere in that realm? Add another 75-100hp, talking close to 300hp... So that places you at least in mid 12's. Not bad I think. If these things werent so heavy, they would be so much quicker. But there is an answer to weight... SLICKTOP! :D . I guess i'll keep dreaming. Peace foo's :p

the fastest 1/4 time i have seen for a tt is 14.1 seconds. the fastest i have seen for a n/a is somin like 15.1-15.2. yes, the vg30de is a heavy engine. but i still love the looks of the car and the engine.

Well so is the RB26DETT, Skyline is not a LIGHT car. But it moves for a reason. But the Z is what... 3400lb's? Being powered by 222hp (VG30DE), strong engine, but the power to weight isnt all that impressive. Peace foo's :p
