motor spins but won't startFyreWyngz 02-20-2004, 10:18 AM Just had my '93 Grand Voyager stolen so was pressed to get another vehicle (and baby seats, etc.) I purchased a '93 Grand Caravan (sister vehicles and in great condition). However, I drove it off the used car lot and the next day it would not start. The motor spins HARD but won't fire. I'll spin it for a good 30-45 seconds before it will fire. Once it fires - no problems - runs like a clock. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the fuel pump relay. I took it home and had the same problem the next morning! The dealer has it again and they say their computers show everything as OK. I've even had the battery checked on my own - no problems. The odd thing is that the spinning has only happened when it's VERY COLD outside. When it's above 40 deg F - it starts fine. Any ideas? I'm beginning to think that the dealer is stringing me out. xjoeharperx 02-20-2004, 10:53 AM Check the coolant and air temp sensors and have a compression check preformed. Anaudiophile 02-22-2004, 02:19 PM Did xjoe even read your thread??????? Put a pressure guage in line with the fuel pressure line going into the fuel rail and keep an eye on it. Should hold at least 40 psi running or sitting!! May have to catch it in the act to get a poor reading!! xjoeharperx 02-23-2004, 01:48 AM :chair: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
